MORE FLARE!

The Purple Solid Reactive is an exciting and unique ball, just as the Purple Pearl Urethane ball is. The Purple Pearl Urethane ball sells because it performs, and there’s nothing like it in bowling; the Purple Solid Reactive will be successful for the same reason. The Purple Solid Reactive started as an experiment to see how a strong reactive shell would perform around the high RG and low differential LED core, and the results were remarkable. The core is the exact same as the urethane model; however, the numbers are different due to the density of the reactive shell versus the urethane; this raises the differential and creates more flare, producing a stronger and more angular backend motion. The Purple Solid Reactive will be useful for bowlers who find urethane too weak when others are scoring with it, and higher rev players will love it across a wide range of conditions.

    Purple Solid Reactive

Posted by Brian DeLuisa-Anderson on Nov 19th 2023

I drilled mine 55 X 4 X 55. The Hammer Purple Solid Reactive is an extremely controllable piece. This ball is great when you need a step up from the Purple Pearl Urethane. The Purple Solid Reactive is perfect if you often find traditional urethane too weak but still need a similar shape. It is excellent on a variety of conditions. My go-to piece when I am looking for something smooth and controllable. The Purple Solid Reactive is a must-have piece in your tournament bag to help blend out challenging conditions.

    Very Predictable Motion

Posted by Scott Crawford on Jan 30th 2023

The Hammer Purple Reactive gives me a predictable ball motion. I get a urethane type shape but a little stronger and with a little more forgiveness on misses that I don’t get from urethane. I use this sometimes on house shots and it really excels on shorter sport patterns where a ton of guys are throwing urethane. I have an above average rev rate but not up there with the 2 handers, so this allows me to play the same area of the lane as I would with urethane but I can stay in this ball longer and it doesn’t react as poorly when they start to transition. Bonus, it still hits like a Purple Hammer since it’s a 2-piece ball. I went with 60 x 4.5 x 40 for my layout for a benchmark type shape. https://youtube.com/shorts/-m2za6ZQWTA?feature=share

A smooth ball for I can use!

Posted by Eric A. on Jan 9th 2023

Finally a smooth ball for us tweeners! I threw the Purple Urethane and it just didn’t work for me. I don’t have enough hand to get the benefits from urethane, but I still hook it some. The Urethane would still hook if I missed left and would hand if I missed right. But with the Purple Reactive I get the same advantage as the bowlers that hook it more when they throw urethane. This is a must in my bag for sport shots and PBA patterns.

    Purpler hammer

Posted by David Varner on Nov 18th 2022

The purple hammer reactive is a fun new edition to the bag. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I drilled it but what I got was a smooth controlled purple hammer urethane look on steroids. This is a major upgrade on the entry level spot in my bag. I will be using this ball a lot on the shorter patterns. I can see this ball being very useful for people who want the purple hammer urethane motion but lack the revs or have a lot of speed. I also think this will be useful when the urethane looses its pop down lane from the carry down this ball should provide the extra pop down lane.
