    Hammer Black Pearl Urethane

Posted by Joe Goldstein, Sr. on Apr 15th 2024

I was extremely pleased with the reaction of the new Black Pearl Urethane 78D. I don't use Urethane very often, however I drilled this piece for the PBA50 Caveman Bowl Classic to have to blend out the Wayne Webb pattern. This piece did not disappoint as I used it for 17 of the 21 games of the tournament. I was able to play far right and the ball never quit on me. It has a much better reaction for me than the purple. Thank you Black Pearl Urethane for helping me win PBA Regional title #5. Get yours today, you will not be dissatisfied. It has a special place in my arsenal.

    Urethane!

The 78d urethane answer to the pba banning the purple hammer. Although the purple hammer is still legal in every form of competition other than the pba I decided I would drill the black pearl and see how it rolls. This ball is definitely more of a tradition urethane reaction than I got from the purple hammer. Overall this was probably 3-4 boards weaker than my purple hammer but I was surprised that it went through the pins very well for having the hook early and roll forward look that tradition urethane usually has.
