Ebonite has always been trusted when it matters. We’re the brand that Bowls to Win! From The One to Game Breaker to the modern Turbo X line, Ebonite equipment has earned its reputation in competition where performance truly matters. The new Turbo X NU continues that legacy, giving tournament bowlers a purpose-built option in the growing NU category. As urethane faces increasing restrictions, bowlers still need a controlled, readable motion, and the Turbo X NU delivers it. Designed to create noticeably more flare than traditional urethane or other NU options, it produces a stronger midlane while maintaining the smooth, predictable shape competitive players rely on. The result is an earlier, rounder, more continuous motion that separates it from anything Ebonite has ever produced. It’s not just another NU ball, but a strategic performance piece built for when it counts.

    Tournament players need this ball

Posted by DMbowling on Aug 10th 2026

I went with my usual 45 x 4 x 40 layout. I drill pretty everything the same so that I can see the dynamics of the ball do what they are designed to do. I probably didn't test this out on the best condition. It was Saturday night after all day open play. That said, I think I have a good idea of its capabilities. Last year's Turbo X just goes sideways for me off the end of the pattern. This one is WAY more controlled because of the cover difference. And I am hear for it. This ball will get a lot of play on shorter patterns, burned up tournament patterns, and maybe even lighter oil house shots. This won't be for everyone though. I can't see the every day league bowler needing this. But it gives an option to tournament players who don't like urethane or can't use urethane because of rules. This will go in my tournament bag for sure.
