Attention Star Sequence Two
Roto Grip Attention Star Sequence 2 Coverstock: eTrax + Hybrid Reactive Finish: 2000 Grit 2000 Core: Momentous AV + A.I. (14 pd) RG: 2.53 Differential: 0.046 Int Diff: 0.014 Layout: 2 x 6 x 5 - 2LS Layout Extras: 3 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Attention Star Sequence Two features the Momentous Altered Variant + Amplified Inertia Core Technology. Basically what this means is Roto Grip has taken a core previously featured internationally and brought it to the states with a few upgrades. This ball pour is also quite stunning in its color combinations. The ball intent is to create a ball motion not readily seen in the SPI line of bowling balls. In comparison to my Roto Grip Attention Star and my Roto Grip X-Cell I believe this ball will be exceptional on longer and higher volume patterns. For me, the Attention Star is a bit quick and forward on THS so it found most of its use on sport patterned conditions. The X-Cell is a tough ball to overtake in my current arsenal. It's been my go to on patterned conditions and is good in league too. The S2 is a bit more rounded and will provide a good controlled and continuous reaction. Will it compliment the X-Cell over time? I can't say at the current time. I do like what I see from the S2 and look forward to evaluate further at upcoming SPI MatchMaker events as well. Also, I want to get the S2 on some higher volume patterns and see the range this ball has as transition occurs. For me, I really desire an option for sport and league patterns where control is the key, yet I want to have some asym options as a thumbless player. The Attention Star I did take some of the Reacta Gloss off and will try it with Power Edge. As for the S2, I will let some lane shine on the ball to get it through the fronts a bit easier. I feel the Attention Star S2 is going to see a lot of play like the Attention Star did on PBA tour last year. As noted, the cover comes out at 2000 Grit Abralon from the factory. I'm going to "create" some shine with water and a rag on the spinner. Be sure to grab an Attention Star Sequence Two (S2) today. It might just be the look you want when coming off of your big asym balls in the arsenal. Michael Slatky 900 Global Staff Member York, PA
